Parking Dispute Turns Deadly: Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Asif Qureshi Killed in Delhi

The incident occurred in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi. Two suspects have been apprehended, and the Delhi Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, was killed in Delhi after a fight over parking a scooter. As of Friday morning, the two accused in the case have been apprehended, according to the Delhi police.

Dispute Over Scooter Parking

According to the police, Asif Qureshi, 42, son of Ilyas Qureshi and a resident of Bhogal, Jangpura, was attacked on the night of August 7 around 10:30 pm. The argument started over the parking of the accused’s scooter. During the fight, one of them stabbed Asif in the chest with a sharp metal tool, leading to his death.

An FIR numbered 233/25 was lodged under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Gautam, 18, and Ujjwal, 19, have been identified as the accused. Both are in police custody, and the probe is still underway.

Another Murder Case in Delhi’s Ranhola Area

Earlier this week, police come across the murder of a 50-year-old woman in her house in Ranhola, Delhi. Kiran Jha was identified as the woman, and Parmod Jha, her 60-year-old divorced husband, was named as the main suspect. According to the police, a PCR call about the incident was received at 4:09 a.m. Kiran, a patient care worker, shared a home with her daughter-in-law Kamal Jha, granddaughter, and son Durgesh Jha.

Suspect Returned After a Decade Away

Investigations showed that Parmod had returned to Delhi on August 1 after staying for nearly ten years in his hometown, Chidiabad, in Jamalpur city, Munger district, Bihar. He and Kiran had been living apart for the last 10 years. Their son Durgesh, who works for a microfinance company in Darbhanga, Bihar, was not at home during the incident. Kamal told the police that Parmod was unemployed and had not communicated with the family for many years. CCTV footage from a Delhi government camera showed the suspect leaving the house at around 12:50 am, just hours before Kiran’s body was found.
